The Ontario Rotary children's interactive police museum was constructed with young people in mind. It was noted that children have a poor impression of law enforcement based on watching television. We hope to change that image by letting them see what we do, why we do it and what tools we use. The museum is full of weapons, restraints, vehicles, uniforms, pictures and those articles which can show the present and the past. It is permissible to get on the motorcycle and enter the police car and jail. There is a crime scene and other interactive exhibits that encourage learning. The artifacts were donated by the museum committee members as well as members of the community. "The museum is supported by donations and grants from the Price Foundation, Ontario Foundation, and Supervisor Gary Ovittt. We are a registered non-profit 501(c)3. Admission is free!
